Did anyone else find it intriguing that Theodore Karl Schomburg's case suddenly got attention in 2023 with the NamUs entry? Seems odd it took so long, right? I mean, we're talking 25 years here. It makes me wonder if there's someone new on the case or some recent push from his family. Perhaps there's a belief that technology or social media could finally shed light on his disappearance? Whatever the reason, I hope it means fresh eyes on the investigation. Anyone know of other cases where entry into NamUs so many years later actually made a difference? It’d be great to hear about any similar success stories.
Has anyone looked into the possibility of Theodore Schomburg having any connections or reasons to travel outside Oregon around the time he went missing? Sometimes people disappear for personal reasons, or they might have connections elsewhere that weren't initially evident. Given the lack of details, maybe there's something in associates or social circles outside the immediate area that was missed over the years? I know it's a long shot, but in cases like this, looking into less obvious leads might reveal something new. It's hard to believe someone can just vanish without leaving any trace or hint at all.
Has anyone come across any interviews or statements from Theodore's family or friends? Whenever I dig into these old cases, it often feels like someone's voice is missing, especially with so little info out there. It's frustrating not to have a starting point or any public pleas for information. If any local folks remember any community efforts back in '98 or if there was any media coverage surrounding his disappearance, that might help us piece together a clearer picture. Just seems odd that no one seems to be publicly talking about this. Would love to hear thoughts from anyone familiar with the area or who remembers this case.
