Has anyone else been thinking about the role that weather might have played in Deanna Wertz's disappearance back in 2016? I was reviewing some old news articles and noticed that particular summer had some strange weather patterns. The weather can change so suddenly in the mountains around the North Okanagan, especially for someone hiking in dense forested areas like Yankee Flats. I wonder if a sudden storm or unexpected weather event could have somehow led to her becoming lost or disoriented? It's something that seems worth considering, given the vast and rugged terrain she was so familiar with. Also, thinking about how quickly conditions can become treacherous in the wilderness might explain why she wasn't found sooner, even with all those extensive search efforts. What do you all think—do you consider the possibility of weather-related factors in Deanna's case?
