Hey everyone,
I've been following Preston Wayne Waldner's case, and it really got me thinking—does anyone else find it intriguing how certain cases, like Preston’s, tend to occasionally resurface in public consciousness over the years? It seems like every few years there's a new search effort or update in the media, but sadly, it never seems to lead to any significant breakthroughs.
I read that the RCMP’s Historical Case Unit is still involved, which is reassuring. It’s like they’re refusing to let the coldness of the case stop the search. But it must be so challenging for the family with the passage of time, as well as for every officer involved, to continually hit dead ends.
Particularly with cases involving large bodies of water, like the South Saskatchewan River, it seems nearly impossible to get conclusive answers without new evidence or breakthroughs. I'm curious if anyone in the community knows more about how such historical units operate or has heard of similar cases finding resolution after many years?
Always hoping for answers for Preston’s family and those who've lost someone to such tragic circumstances.
