Hey all,
I recently came across a case from Oxford, Connecticut, that's been really troubling me. On May 30, 2024, two men were discovered in a burning vehicle on Route 34, and it's now being treated as a homicide case. One of the victims, David J. Rivera, was only 36 and from Hartford. It was later found out that he died from a gunshot wound to the head, which really adds a dark layer to this tragic event.
What’s been haunting my thoughts is the level of violence and what led to such an outcome. How terrifying must those last moments have been for David and Carlos? Their families must be going through an unimaginably tough time, and my heart goes out to them.
I hope the authorities find some leads soon and bring whoever is responsible for this horrific crime to justice. Does anyone have any thoughts on potential motives, or similar cases that might give us some insight into what's happened here?
Stay safe everyone and let's all try to support each other through these tough discussions.

Has anyone else been following this case in Oxford, CT? I can’t stop thinking about what David Rivera and Carlos Calderon's families must be going through right now. The idea that these two men were brutally murdered and then left in such a horrific way is just gut-wrenching.
I read somewhere that David had a young daughter. Imagining her growing up without her father because of this senseless violence is just so troubling. How do we even begin to make sense of such a tragic event? I'm hoping for justice and that whoever is responsible is caught soon. It's alarming that there haven't been any arrests yet. Does anyone around here have more details about the investigation progress?
