Did anyone else attend the community vigil for Omar Merlos and the other victims last night? It was a somber yet unifying experience to see so many gathering to honor those we've lost far too soon. I was deeply moved by the speeches from friends and family, who shared heartfelt stories about Omar's vibrant personality and the love he brought into their lives. It’s a painful reminder of the real human cost behind each name we discuss on these forums. The increase in gun violence in Hotchkiss is terrifying. It's hard to wrap my head around how these tragedies keep happening in our small community. We really need to come together to push for meaningful changes to prevent more lives from being cut short. My thoughts are with the Merlos family and all others affected. How's everyone feeling about the situation? Any thoughts on what we, as a community, can do?
