I can't stop thinking about the location where Jeanette's case unfolded. That stretch near the 800 block of North Academy Boulevard always seemed so busy and full of life. It's eerie to think something so tragic happened there. I used to pass by that area daily, and now I find myself imagining how such a regular, mundane setting could become the site of such a terrible crime. It's a sober reminder that life can change in an instant, and it makes me appreciate the people I have around me all the more.
