Hey everyone, I've been following the Wentz case, and something that's been on my mind is the surviving daughter's role in all of this. It's just awful to think about the kind of trauma she's dealing with, especially after being caught up in such a horrific event. Having to endure those injuries, then the confusion and pressure from her own mother—it’s beyond what any child should experience. I read that she initially told the police a different story. Can you imagine the mix of fear and loyalty she must have been grappling with? Not to mention, now she's left without her siblings, which is unimaginable. I really hope she’s surrounded by people who can provide the support and care she needs to heal from this, both physically and emotionally. It’s heartbreaking to think about what her future looks like now, and I hope the system steps up for her sake. Any thoughts on how communities might better step in to support kids in the aftermath of such extreme family violence?

Has anyone seen the recent developments in the tragic Wentz case? My heart goes out to Aden and Ellie, and particularly to their 11-year-old sister who survived such unimaginable trauma. I find myself thinking about the role of the court decision in all of this. It seems like a system failure if the protection of these kids wasn’t the priority. I can't imagine the emotional turmoil their father is going through now, having just been granted more time with his kids only to lose them in such a horrendous way. It seems so important for authorities to deeply consider the mental state of parents during custody disputes to prevent situations like this. Has this happened before in other custody-related cases? It’s just so haunting to think how a ruling meant to stabilize a family ended up in such an unspeakable tragedy. Prayers and thoughts with the family going through this nightmare.
