Has anyone else been reflecting on the "Day of Healing" that UCCS organized after the tragic events involving Celie and Samuel? It must've been an incredibly tough day for the entire campus community. I think the idea of a healing walk is a really positive way to bring people together and provide some sense of solidarity and support during such a difficult time. Chancellor Sobanet, Student Body President Axel Brown, and Chief McCarver deserve credit for their leadership and compassion. It’s clear they genuinely care about fostering a safe environment for students. I hope other institutions take note and offer similar support when their communities face tragedy. My heart goes out to Celie's family in Pueblo. I can only imagine the pain they’re going through and hope they find some solace in the love and support from those around them. Also, sending all the strength I can to Samuel’s friends and family and everyone mourning their loss. ❤️️ Has anyone attended the Day of Healing? Was it as impactful as intended? I’d love to hear your thoughts on how these events help the healing process for all involved.

I've been following the tragic case at UCCS and can't stop thinking about Celie Rain Montgomery and Samuel Knopp's families right now. With both of them being so young, it's hard to grasp what their loved ones must be experiencing during such a challenging time. I read about the "Day of Healing" the university organized, and it was touching to see the community come together in the wake of this tragedy. The solidarity between the students, faculty, and staff is a reminder that even in the darkest moments, people can find strength in each other. I hope that the families are able to find some peace and comfort from the outpouring of support and unity. If anyone has been to one of these events or has seen how they've been helping students cope, I'd be interested to hear about it. Hoping for justice and healing for all involved.

I’m still trying to wrap my head around the tragic loss of Celie Rain Montgomery and Samuel Knopp. I can't stop thinking about how this has affected their families and friends. I noticed that UCCS hosted a "Day of Healing" with various events, but I’m wondering what kind of ongoing support the university is planning for students and staff. It’s so important to make sure that everyone impacted can access the counseling and resources they need in the wake of such a traumatic event. If anyone has info on how the campus community is coping or what’s being offered, please share. It’d be really helpful to know that there’s a strong net of support being provided.
