Has anyone else wondered about the condition of the canoe that was found? I did some kayaking myself, and I'm curious if it showed any signs of damage or wear that might indicate what led to it capsizing. It's strange that there's little info on whether there were strong winds or something else unusual that day that could explain an accidental overturn. I get that things can happen in an instant, but with David having experience in fishing and presumably being familiar with the lake, what exactly might have transpired out there? Has anyone come across newspaper archives from that time that might provide more context or details on the canoe itself? It's puzzling, to say the least, that after all these years, the community doesn't have a comprehensive understanding of the day's events.
