David Sawyer was a 20-year-old man who disappeared on May 17, 1977, during what began as a day of fishing on Pickerel Lake, Ontario. David had gone onto the lake with his girlfriend, and the two were last known to be together while fishing from a canoe. At some point during their outing, something went terribly wrong.
