Has anyone else been following the tragic case of Xacia Burnem and the others who were shot in that vehicle? I've been thinking a lot about how devastating this has been for her family and community. It's so hard to come to terms with the fact that Xacia was not only a daughter and friend but also was going to be a mother herself. The fact that she was only 18 and had so much ahead of her makes this situation even more difficult to comprehend. While there’s been a lot of focus on the investigation and finding justice for Xacia, I can't help but think about the lasting emotional and mental impact on her loved ones. Sending strength and support their way during what must be an incredibly challenging time. If anyone has updates on how the family is doing or ways to support them, please share.

Has anyone else been following the details surrounding David Anderson and the events leading up to the tragedy that occurred on November 13, 2016? I’ve been trying to piece together how exactly he connects to Xacia and her family. It’s been so painful reading how this young woman, full of life and expecting her first child, got caught in such a violent situation. It’s just alarming that no formal charges have been brought against him yet, despite the clear need for answers and accountability. With mass shootings being such a horrendous reality, it makes me wonder what approach law enforcement is taking in dealing with cases involving acquaintances. Xacia and the others didn't deserve this—it feels like justice is moving at a snail’s pace, and the family deserves closure. Does anyone have updates on whether there’s been any movement on the investigative front?

Hey everyone, I’ve been following the tragic case of Xacia Burnem and can't stop thinking about the community's role in supporting the investigation. It must be devastating for her family and friends to still not have clear answers. Something that I find alarming is how this case emphasizes the ongoing issue of gun violence in areas like Moncrief. It really hits home how these incidents affect entire communities, not just the immediate victims. I wonder if there have been any initiatives or local community groups in Jacksonville that are working towards addressing violence and supporting victims’ families? It’d be great to hear if there are any movements like this to ensure something positive can come out of such a senseless act. Hoping for justice and peace for Xacia's family. Stay safe out there, everyone.
