It's just so sad to hear about what happened to Michael on Thanksgiving night. I can't even begin to imagine what his family is going through right now. I keep thinking about how someone from California, like Zousah Jackson, found himself halfway across the country in Dermott and involved in such a terrible incident. Does anyone know what brought Jackson to that area? Was he visiting family, or was there another reason he was staying on South Knox Street? It might give some insight into the whole situation and what led to the confrontation. My heart goes out to the community; it must be so unsettling to have something like this happen in such a close-knit area.
