Has anyone else seen the recent reports about how this tragedy is affecting the neighborhood kids? I read an article mentioning that some of them witnessed or heard the gunfire, and now there's an immense wave of fear among them. Schools are reportedly increasing counseling services to help them cope, which is crucial, but it’s upsetting that they have to deal with this trauma in the first place. It breaks my heart thinking about how these young ones are exposed to such violence in their own community. They should feel safe outside their homes. The ripple effects on families trying to comfort their children while dealing with their fears and grief must be overwhelming. I hope that more emphasis on community safety and support systems can prevent future scenarios where innocent lives, like Jayshawn's, are cut short and leave such lasting impacts. Any thoughts on what more can be done to protect and support these kids moving forward? Would love to hear how other neighborhoods have tackled similar issues.
