I’ve been following the case of Akeem Deshun Broadway and wanted to focus on a side that really hits me—his family, especially his mom, Jean. Losing Akeem must have been infinitely hard, especially when you consider she’s already had to say goodbye to both her husband and another son. The weight of her grief must be something most of us can’t even begin to fathom. It’s encouraging to know that the Little Rock PD quickly moved to make an arrest, but it’s important to remember that justice will only provide some closure. The absence of loved ones leaves wounds that arrests and convictions just can’t heal. I truly hope Jean gets the support she needs from her community as she navigates this difficult time. Does anyone know if the community is organizing any events in memory of Akeem or to support Jean? It might be a good way for some of us who feel helpless to show our support and ensure his memory lives on.

Has anyone else been following the details about the suspect in Akeem Broadway's case? I've been reading through some local news articles, and it seems like there's a lot more going on than what's been made public. I can't help but think about what Akeem's mother, Jean, must be going through right now. Losing a son like this... I just hope the investigators are thorough and bring some sense of justice. The thought that someone's life could be taken away so suddenly and senselessly is really troubling. Does anyone have more insights into how the LRPD is handling similar cases? It'd be comforting to know they have a good track record. My heart goes out to everyone affected by this tragedy. ?

I’ve been following the case of Akeem Deshun Broadway, and one detail that really stands out to me is his connection to the Colonel Glenn Road area in Little Rock. It’s unsettling to think about how many tragic events have taken place around there in recent years. Akeem’s case is heartbreaking, and my heart goes out to his mother, Jean, who must be going through unimaginable pain losing both a son and a husband. Anyone local to the area who can share insight into what’s being done to improve safety around that part of town? It’s hard not to wonder if more preventative measures could have kept Akeem safe that night. I hope the community can rally together and push for change to prevent more families from experiencing this kind of loss. Any thoughts or ideas about community actions happening right now?
