I've been following the unfolding events of the Mad Butcher tragedy, and I can't stop thinking about Shirley Kay Taylor. From everything I've read, she seems like the kind of person who would light up a room with her warmth and kindness. It's stunning to realize how random and cruel the world can be to take away someone who was loved by so many. Shirley was just going about her day, checking out groceries, probably thinking of what she'd cook for her family—it's banal moments like these that remind us of how fragile life can be. I also want to point out how incredible it is to see Fordyce coming together in the aftermath. Organizing vigils and setting up aid stations—it's a bittersweet reminder that even in the darkest of times, community spirit and love can shine through. Let's keep lifting Shirley's family and the other victims' families in our thoughts. Angela's journey to Fordyce must have been unimaginably stressful, and I can't imagine the pain of such uncertainty for her. If there’s any solace, it’s in knowing that people from all around are wrapping this community in love and support.
