Hey everyone, I’ve been randomly going through the O'Brien case, which I'd heard mentioned a few times over the years. One thing that keeps gnawing at me is the abandoned Ford Tempo and its engine found in the ocean. It feels like such a calculated move from Gary if he had indeed intended it as a decoy. Like, think about the level of planning it must have taken to not only orchestrate the whole disappearance but also have the foresight to try to throw off investigators by ditching car parts in a place they’d eventually be found. Why would he do that if he didn’t want people to think they were all gone? It’s like he wanted us to find clues but knew it would lead to another dead end. What do you guys think—was ditching the car parts a deliberate misdirection, or could it just be something simpler than I’m reading it as? I feel like there’s something here that I’m missing. Would love to hear others' thoughts on this aspect. Keep the theories coming, y'all!
