Has anyone else heard about the disturbing lack of communication from the Beckley Police Department in Malique Medley's case? It's so upsetting to see that his family, especially his mother Donna, feels left in the dark about the investigation. I can't imagine the stress and fear they're experiencing, especially with those reported death threats looming over them. It's like adding salt to an already painful wound.
The situation seems to suggest a deeper problem within the department's communication channels. Can they really expect the community to feel safe and supported when they're not actively updating or engaging with the families affected by such tragedies? It seems like basic decency and professionalism are missing here. What do you all think? How can we as a community push for better transparency in cases like this? My heart goes out to Donna and the whole Medley family during this unimaginably difficult time.
Hey everyone,
I've been following the tragic case of Malique Shaquille Medley, and I wanted to bring up something that I feel isn’t being talked about enough: the courage and resilience of his wife, Rhoneka. Imagine the terror of being in that situation, with your partner struck down beside you, and being pregnant with two small children in the backseat. It's unimaginable the strength she must have to face each day since the incident.
From what I've read, the community has really come together in support, but I hope there's also a strong network of support for Rhoneka and her children. They didn’t just lose a loved one; their sense of safety and normalcy was shattered too.
It's been said that healing comes with time, but for Rhoneka and her family, that path seems particularly challenging right now. I hope Beckley continues to provide them with the support they need. Does anyone know if there are any specific outreach or counseling services being offered to families affected by this increase in violence? It’d be great to see some concrete community initiatives to help them.
Sending them all love and strength, and hoping for justice and peace.
Take care, everyone.
