Hey everyone, I've been thinking about the tragic ferry incident involving Ralph Monague and Curtis Smith back in '85 between Cedar Point and Christian Island. Was anyone else struck by the fact that the weather warnings were so dire that day? I've always wondered if there was something about Ralph and Curtis's personalities or past experiences that made them decide to ignore the crew's advice and step outside. Not trying to blame them, of course, but I feel like understanding their mindset might give us a bit more insight into what happened. Was it curiosity? Or maybe they underestimated the danger? It's eerie how sometimes those split-second decisions can have such lasting consequences. Does anyone have any thoughts or information on what might have led them to take that risk?
