I've been reading about Dimitri Larese Martin's case, and I can't stop thinking about how these acts of gun violence ripple through the community. Dimitri was only 34, and from everything I've seen, he seemed to be such a beloved part of Rock Island. The fact that his memorial allows people to share photos and memories is such a beautiful way to keep his spirit alive. I can't even imagine what his family must be going through right now. It's so important to support them and let them know that their loss isn’t forgotten, and neither is Dimitri. Anyone else find themselves thinking about the bigger picture and how deeply these tragedies echo?
