I can't help but feel devastated for Officer Kevin Cram's family and the entire Algona community. It’s alarming how someone with a warrant for harassment escalated things so violently, leading to such a tragic outcome. Officer Cram was out there doing his job, trying to keep others safe, and paid the ultimate price for his service.
I’ve been following the case closely, and while it’s a relief that Kyle Ricke has been held accountable with a life sentence, it doesn’t bring Kevin back or fill the void left in his family’s and colleagues’ hearts. It’s a stark reminder of the dangers law enforcement officers face daily.
Sending thoughts and strength to his loved ones as they continue to navigate life without him. It’s a tough situation all around, and I hope the community can find some peace and healing in the wake of such loss. Such a heavy reminder to appreciate the officers who put themselves in harm's way every day.

It’s a sobering reminder of the dangers faced by law enforcement every day. Officer Cram put himself in harm's way trying to bring someone with a history of harassment to justice. It breaks my heart to know that his courage was met with such violence. My thoughts are with his family and colleagues as they navigate this incredibly difficult time. I hope his community and fellow officers find strength in the love and support surrounding them. Such a senseless tragedy.
