Does anyone remember the weather conditions around Kananaskis during late June 1981? I’ve been researching Steven Thomas MacLaren's disappearance and wondering if weather might have played a role. Bad weather could explain why search efforts didn't find any clear signs of him in the area. I’m curious if thunderstorms or heavy rains made the terrain more hazardous on the trails Steven planned to hike. Anyone with historical weather insight or similar experiences hiking in the Rockies care to share? Every little detail might help piece together what happened back then.
