I've been thinking a lot about the impact this tragedy must have had on Amber's friends at school. Can you imagine being 16 and having to process the loss of a classmate and friend in such a shocking way? From what I've read, Amber was well-loved and full of life, and I can only imagine the void left behind in the lives of those who knew her. Losing someone close, especially under such violent circumstances, is incredibly difficult at any age, but for young people who are already navigating the challenges of high school, it must have been overwhelming. I hope the school provided adequate support and counseling during that time. It's a reminder of how important it is to check on our young ones and help them process grief and trauma. My heart goes out to everyone who was affected by this senseless act. ?
I’ve been thinking a lot about the emergency call made by Barney Fraaken right after the incident. I'm really curious about what exactly was said during that 911 call. I can't even begin to imagine the emotions and state of mind behind making such a call after committing such an unthinkable act. Did he express any remorse or was it just a cold, matter-of-fact confession? It must be incredibly difficult for the first responders who had to listen to that call and arrive at the scene. The whole situation is such a nightmare for everyone involved, especially for the friends and family of Amy and Amber. They have my deepest sympathy. It's always tough seeing someone you love become a headline in such tragic circumstances. Those in the community who knew the family must still be reeling. Anyone else find themselves wondering about those final moments and how they unfolded?
