I've been following the case of Carissa Marie Rivers, and I'm struck by the bravery it must have taken her to leave Russell Tallman, especially if he had threatened her life. Breaking away from an abusive relationship is never easy, and it shows incredible strength to make that move, particularly when the stakes are so high. It's deeply unsettling to think that someone she once trusted could be linked to this tragedy. My heart goes out to Carissa's family, especially knowing that they must have been aware of the threats and felt so powerless. I hope they find peace and justice for Carissa. If anything, this awful situation highlights the importance of taking threats seriously and offering support to those in dangerous situations. Let's keep her story alive and continue to push for awareness around domestic violence.
