I was going through some old newspaper clippings online and found a piece about Richard's declining health. Apparently, he'd been suffering for a while, and some neighbors said he was rarely seen outside in recent months. It's so hard to wrap my head around how everything unfolded with Richard and Charlotte. I can't imagine how their children are processing all this. It must be unimaginable to lose both parents in such a sudden way, all the while coming to terms with the fact that it was their father's actions. I hope they're finding some sort of peace or understanding through this difficult time. If anyone in the community has more insight on what Richard was going through, it might help give some context, even if it doesn't lessen the sadness. Sending all my thoughts to their family and friends.
