Did anyone else find it odd that Raymond Carl Seawright decided to just wander off on his own while panning for gold? I get that he was living a transient lifestyle, but it seems strange to break away from your buddy in such a remote area. Could something else have been going on, or was he maybe in search of something specific, like a different spot he'd heard about? People don't usually wander off aimlessly, especially in potentially dangerous terrain. It's been more than a decade, and I wonder if anyone's looked into if he had any other plans that day or if there's any chance he was meeting someone out there. Just thinking out loud!
