Has anyone looked into Chad's possible interactions at hostels during his travels? Given his age and the typical backpacker routes in Central America, hostels would have been a likely stop for him. They often serve as informal hubs of information and could shed light on his last known activities. It's puzzling that despite distributing posters in numerous locations, including hostels, no definitive sightings have been confirmed.
I wonder if any staff or fellow travelers from that time have been re-interviewed recently. Fellow backpackers could unknowingly have crucial information about his plans or who he might have been with. Hostels, being transient places, might have staff who recall a young Canadian fitting Chad's description. Information might not have seemed relevant back then but could be critical now, especially since people move around a lot less currently and might hold onto memories of travelers more distinctly. Anyone got insights into how authorities managed these angles or have new ideas on what avenues could still be open in this part of the inquiry?
