I've been reading up on Emma Dixon's disappearance, and something that stands out is how all her personal belongings were left behind. It just doesn't add up that she'd plan to go somewhere like Washington state without taking any of her things. If she was indeed planning to work in another country, surely she'd have prepared for it, right? This makes me wonder if something might have happened at the reserve that forced her to leave in a hurry, or if perhaps she never intended to leave at all. There’s been a longstanding issue with the timely reporting of missing Indigenous women, and Emma's case sadly seems to fit into that pattern. Why did it take her husband a whole month to report her missing? Hoping justice and answers come to light for Emma and her family after all these years. Anyone else here following this case? What do you think about the circumstances of her disappearance?
