I've been thinking a lot about Gordie Lee Dixon’s case and can't stop wondering about the potential lost evidence, especially due to the delay in reporting him missing. Back in 1990, nearly two months passed before his family reported him missing, and I feel like that might've been critical. I know it was a different time, and missing persons cases involving Indigenous folks often didn’t get the attention they needed, but I'm still curious whether there could have been any overlooked leads during those critical early days. For instance, was there anyone Gordie interacted with frequently who might not have been questioned due to the belated report? Or maybe even places he often visited that weren’t checked out? I’m not an investigator, just trying to think outside the box here since there doesn’t seem to be much momentum on his case, even after all these years. It’s frustrating to think that crucial information might've slipped through the cracks just because the process didn't begin sooner. Hoping that maybe revisiting these early steps could lead to something new.
