So, I've been digging into the Cyril Detimmerman case, and something keeps nagging at me. Do we know anything about the boat they were using? The reports all mention the attempt to reverse the engine which caused water intake, but was there ever an investigation into whether the equipment failed or if it was just human error under panic? It seems odd that someone as experienced as Cyril wouldn't have anticipated this. Was the boat checked for mechanical issues afterward, or was it too damaged to assess? Just seems like this should be a piece of the puzzle that might give us more insight into what happened that day. Curious to see if anyone has any info or theories on this angle!
