I’ve been thinking a lot about the immense bravery it must have taken for Detective John Thomas Hobbs to serve on the Fugitive Apprehension Team. It’s incredibly sobering to consider that each time officers like him pursue dangerous suspects, they’re putting their lives on the line for the safety of the community. What really strikes me about his story is the moment after he was wounded—he still managed to protect his team and stop the threat. It's a level of courage and selflessness that's hard to fathom. Not only did his actions save lives that day, but they also speak volumes about his character and dedication to his duty. His sacrifice is a stark reminder of the risks law enforcement officers face daily. My heart goes out to his family and colleagues who lost such a kind, steadfast, and heroic individual. It's crucial that we remember and honor the legacy he left behind for the safety of others. Has anyone heard if there are memorials or ways the community continues to show support to his family? Would love to find ways to honor his memory alongside them.
