Does anyone else find it peculiar how the investigation into Lonnie's tragic death seems to have stalled? It's already been years, and there’s hardly any new information coming out. I can’t help but think about his family and the emotional toll this must take on them. Losing someone so suddenly is unimaginable, and to not have closure makes it even worse. I attended the memorial once and was touched by the love and support surrounding his memory, but justice for him feels elusive. I really hope some new leads come up soon; both the family and Lonnie deserve answers. Anyone else have thoughts or insights on why this case hasn’t seen more progress?
Hey everyone, I was reading up on Lonnie D. Smith's case and something caught my attention that I hadn't considered before. It seems like there was a significant amount of community support following his passing, with friends and family organizing a memorial at Resthaven East Park Mortuary and Cemetery. From what I understand, people still gather there to light candles and share memories. It’s really touching to see how his loved ones have created a space to honor his life. It's a reminder of the strength and resilience of a community in the face of such senseless violence. I truly hope his family has found some solace in the outpouring of support. Has anyone here attended one of these memorial events or spoken to those keeping his memory alive? Would love to hear more about their experiences and how they're coping.
