I've been following the Delmarc Forrester case, and I can't help but feel so much for his loved ones, especially around the holidays. One thing that’s been on my mind is the role that the holidays might have played in escalating this tragedy. Family disputes can be rough, but during the holidays, tensions can flare even more because everyone has expectations about spending time with family and loved ones.
It's sad to think a disagreement over visitation could lead to such a horrible outcome. Why are people so quick to resort to violence? Delmarc seemed like he was just trying to protect his home and loved ones. It’s frightening to imagine what was going through his mind at that moment, standing there with just a knife against someone brandishing a gun.
My thoughts go out to Delmarc’s family and friends, and I truly hope they find some peace and justice soon.
