Hey everyone, I've been following the Michael Perez case from Tempe, and something that's been on my mind is the DNA evidence that eventually led to the arrest of Xavier Williams. It's incredible to think how modern technology and forensic science can crack a case that seemed so cold for years. But on the flip side, it must have been agonizing for Michael's family to wait so long for answers. I'm curious to know more about how the police were able to make that pivotal connection using the suspect's brother's DNA. Does anyone have insights on how common it is for familial DNA searches to finally bring a breakthrough in cases like this? It makes you wonder how many other cases might find justice through similar means. Thinking of Mikey’s family and friends who hoped for resolution and support all this time. Their strength through the years is truly admirable. ? Looking forward to hearing others' thoughts or information on the DNA aspect and how it played out in this particular investigation.
