I recently came across some information about James "Rick" Showalter and wanted to share a few thoughts. First, my sincerest condolences to his wife Cathy, his children, and the entire Showalter family. Losing someone unexpectedly is incredibly difficult, and it seems like Rick was a beloved member of the community. I was especially touched by Rick's love for his grandchildren. It's clear from accounts that spending time with them brought him immense joy. I can just imagine the fishing trips and golf games filled with laughter and stories. Those are the kinds of memories that will last a lifetime. His service in the Marine Corps and his dedication to his family reveal just what a committed and passionate person he was. I hope the family feels supported by the community during this time. It's important to remember the joy and warmth Rick brought into their lives.
