I recently came across some interesting details about the day Robbie Brown went missing from Pefferlaw in 1968. Something that struck me was the mention of the former Oakes Restaurant on Holmes Point Road, where he was last seen by those two teenagers. Does anyone know if there were any rumors or activities around that area at the time that might give some insight? Being summer, I imagine a lot of folks would have been around the beach area, but what about the restaurant? I wonder if it was a local hangout where people might have seen or heard something out of the ordinary. It's puzzling how he could vanish in an area that seemed quite populated during that warm afternoon. Any thoughts or info about who might have frequented or worked at Oakes Restaurant back then could be helpful.
