I’ve been following the tragic case of the Ross family, and I can’t stop thinking about how Iris Ross must have worked tirelessly to provide a happy Christmas for her children, only for it to end in such an unfathomable way. Working as an administrator at St. Joseph's, I imagine she must have touched many lives, not just through her work, but in her personal life too. The fact that so many people described her as a person with a "huge heart" makes it evident that she was dearly loved and respected by those who knew her.
One haunting element that stands out to me is the video that was posted just hours before the tragedy. Seeing Anthony Ross and little Nigel singing "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" together—I cannot wrap my head around how things turned so dark after those moments. It’s so chilling, knowing how quickly life can change.
I find myself hoping the family and friends of Iris and her children find support and strength in each other during this unimaginably painful time. It's comforting to see there's a GoFundMe to help them, which shows there are still kind-hearted people looking to support them however they can. This case reminds us of the importance of reaching out to our loved ones and being there for each other, no matter the circumstances.
Has anyone else noticed the eerie nature of that last video Anthony Milan Ross posted just hours before everything happened? It's chilling to watch now, knowing what transpired right after. Seeing him and little Nigel singing "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" is just so surreal. It makes me think about how often people put on a happy facade, masking what's brewing inside. My heart goes out to Iris's family, friends, and especially those who worked with her at the surgery center. I've seen so many comments about how much she meant to the community and how devastated everyone is. It’s such an unfathomable loss. Has anyone else read about how Anthony’s behavior changed after their divorce? It seems important to discuss these signs, even when they seem subtle at first.
I came across the story about the Ross family during the holidays, and it just breaks my heart to think about what Iris and her children, Nigel and Anora, must have gone through. I'm especially struck by the witnesses’ accounts – imagining them helplessly watching as a scene that should never happen unfolded right before their eyes. It’s a reminder of how domestic issues can escalate to unimaginable levels.
What really puzzles me is Anthony Milan Ross’s background as a motivational speaker. He presented himself as someone who guided others towards better living. Yet, the horrifying details about his behavior and threats seem to paint a completely different picture. How does someone known for promoting positivity and health turn into someone capable of such violence? It’s terrifying to think that there might have been warning signs, subtle as they were, that friends and family noticed but possibly couldn’t fully understand or intervene in time.
This entire situation is beyond tragic for everyone involved. Iris, Nigel, and Anora deserved so much better, and my heart goes out to their loved ones dealing with this tremendous loss. I hope the legal process brings some form of justice and that their memories continue to be a source of inspiration and love within their community.
