Has anyone else been following the sentencing part of this case? I'm struggling to wrap my head around Michael Warner getting 25 years for pleading guilty to second-degree murder. I know plea deals are common, and they offer some closure, but it feels like there should be more accountability. Travis Dunham had his life brutally taken away in a place where he should have felt safest—his own home. My heart goes out to his family, who must face a lifetime without him. Does anyone have thoughts on how the justice system handles plea deals in cases involving such violent crimes? It's just frustrating to think about the balance between ensuring swift justice and the severity of the crime.
