Every time I think about Charles Henry Gaskins and his senseless death in 1977, it hits me how much his family must still be yearning for answers. It's wild how a life can be stolen away in an instant over something as meaningless as a robbery gone wrong. The fact that this has remained unsolved for so long is frustrating. I can’t even imagine what his loved ones have gone through over the decades, not having closure. Kudos to the MPD for keeping the investigation alive; their persistence is crucial. But it also makes me wonder about the small details that might still be out there. Maybe someone who was in the area, or even someone who heard something second-hand back then, could hold the key to unraveling this. People might not even realize the significance of their info, so here’s hoping they reach out through the anonymous tip lines. Just maybe, 2023 is the year the Gaskins family finally gets some answers.
