Did anyone else feel like this case emphasizes how critical it is for assisted living facilities to have proper protocols when residents go missing? Simone Hope's disappearance could have ended much worse, and it was distressing to think about what might have happened. It makes you wonder if the facility she was at had enough safeguards in place. I haven’t read anything about security measures or staff training being addressed publicly. Are there standard procedures that facilities in Anchorage should follow in such situations? It just seems like there should be a better safety net for residents who decide to leave on their own. Would love to hear more thoughts and insights from those with experience in this area!
