Hey everyone,
I’ve been digging into the Sergey Cherepov case and came across something that piqued my interest. Has anyone else looked into the trail conditions around the time of his disappearance? From what I've read, the weather turned for the worse shortly after he went missing. Given the dense forest and the rain, I can't help but wonder if certain trails or paths might've become particularly treacherous or confusing. Especially thinking about how someone unfamiliar with the area, and already feeling unwell, could easily get disoriented.
I'm curious to hear if anyone local to the area remembers how difficult those trails were during that period or has insights into alternate routes Sergey might’ve accidentally wandered onto. Any hikers out there who can chime in on what kind of challenges that terrain can present, especially in poor weather? It seems plausible that he might have taken a wrong turn, and the rain could've made it even easier to slip off a trail or become obscured by foliage.
Let me know your thoughts!
