I came across this case recently and it’s been heavy on my mind. It’s unsettling to think about the quail hunters who found Cadance. Imagine stumbling upon something so harrowing while out for a regular day. I can’t even begin to fathom how shocking that discovery must have been for them. It's moments like these that make you really appreciate the hard work that law enforcement does behind the scenes. The way they used forensic genealogy to identify Cadance was nothing short of amazing. I hope that those hunters are getting support, it must have been traumatic. My heart goes out to Cadance’s family and I truly hope justice brings them some peace.
