I was reading about Laney's case and couldn't help but feel for her mother, Annalisa. It sounds like Annalisa tried her best to protect Laney by warning her about those parties. It's such a difficult position for a parent to be in, wanting to let your child have their freedom but also worrying about their safety. I'm really hoping that the authorities take Annalisa's plea seriously and look into the responsibility of those who organized the party. It just seems so irresponsible to promote these gatherings with so little regard for what could go wrong. Truly hoping for justice for Laney and her family, and for some real change so no more parents have to go through this kind of pain.
