I keep thinking about how the community needs to come together for Tylek McGee’s family. It’s deeply upsetting to think about someone so young losing their life like this. I hope the community leaders seriously consider some of those preventive measures everyone’s been talking about since the shooting. It feels like there's a pattern of these incidents, and I can't help but wonder if things might change if we allocate more resources to youth programs or neighborhood outreach initiatives. The intersection at 25th Avenue and McLellan Boulevard shouldn't be remembered for tragedy, but as a place where change began. Sending strength and love to Tylek's family and friends during this difficult time. ?
