Has anyone else been following the Colette Smart case? It’s so unsettling to think about the number of challenges investigators faced in D.C. back in the early '90s, especially with the crime surge at that time. Colette’s murder is truly one of those haunting mysteries. I was curious if any residents from the Columbia Road area around 1991 recall anything unusual from that time? Maybe changing neighborhood dynamics or individuals who seemed out of place? It’s hard to imagine the pain Colette’s family and friends must endure, still not having closure after all these years. I hope something comes to light soon that finally brings them peace. Every little detail can make a difference. ? If you know anything, please consider reaching out to the police. I was reading up on Colette Smart's case, and it really sticks out to me how little coverage unsolved murders sometimes get after the initial investigation. It's been over 30 years, and still no answers for her family. I think it's important to keep these cases in the public eye so they don’t become forgotten. I'm wondering if anyone here remembers what the community was like around the 1400 block of Columbia Road back then?
