On a Saturday night in late August 1991, 33-year-old Judy Kennedy was shot multiple times and killed near midnight in the 800 block of Hamilton Street NW in Washington, D.C. She had been running an errand to her mother’s home; Kennedy lived a few blocks away on Marietta Place with her 12-year-old son. Family described her as a real home person who kept to herself and was not involved with drugs or crime.

The motive for the shooting was not clear, and the Metropolitan Police Department had made no arrests in the initial investigation. The killing was listed among the city’s unsolved homicides, and authorities sought public help for information about the incident that took place on or around Sunday, August 25, 1991.

If anyone knew Judy, saw her that night, or has information about what happened on Hamilton Street NW, please come forward with details.
