This case has really been weighing on me. It’s so shocking to think that Xavier was just on the phone, caught in a moment that should’ve been mundane, and yet it turned tragic in an instant. I can’t imagine the pain his family must be going through, especially when they had to hear his struggle through a call. What’s been bugging me lately is the notion of being betrayed by someone you’d hardly suspect. De La Cruz-Rodriguez’s actions, especially knocking on the family’s door afterward—how do you even process that? Pretending to be a concerned witness when he's the one who pulled the trigger? It’s profoundly disturbing. My heart goes out to Xavier's loved ones; this is a heavy burden to carry, and it's hard not to feel for them, hoping justice can provide some solace.
