I’ve been following Mercedes Southard’s case since it was first reported, and something that’s been nagging at me is the total absence of any digital trail. In this day and age, it seems odd that she left no electronic footprint—no pings from a cellphone, no recent social media activity, nothing. Was her phone off that day? Did she leave it behind? I know authorities must have looked into this, and they’re probably keeping details close to the chest, but in many disappearances, phones or social media provide clues or even lead to the person being found. It's just baffling that it seems like she vanished without so much as a digital whisper. Does anyone else feel like this might be a critical piece of the puzzle we're missing here?
