I'm deeply saddened by the news about Dejahnique Jackson. It's unbearable to think about how her life was tragically cut short. I’ve been following the case as best I can, and something that's been on my mind is the location of the incident. Often, the environment can provide crucial insights. West Peoria and West Desert Cave avenues aren't typically known as high-crime areas in North Phoenix. It's unsettling to me how quickly disputes can escalate regardless of the neighborhood. I'm holding Dejahnique’s family in my thoughts; no one should have to endure such a loss. This senseless violence is a reminder of how fragile life is, and I hope there is justice and peace for those who love her.
