I’ve been following Gloria Zermeno’s story and just can’t shake off how truly devastating the ripple effects of that night have been. It's incredibly unfair how her family now has to face life without her, especially her little daughter who will grow up without the warm embrace and guidance of her mom. What stands out here, aside from the raw tragedy of losing someone so young and full of dreams, is how these kinds of violent incidents have increasingly larger impacts on the community. It makes you question the presence of such firearms and what could possibly lead someone to act so recklessly in a moment of anger. It's comforting to hear how Gloria is remembered so positively by those who knew her, but it makes it all the more painful. I hope that her family finds the strength they need, and that justice for her brings some level of peace. Whatever happens, let's not forget the little girl who lost her mom in all of this.
