Just came across this case on here and can’t help but feel for Edward Colin Colteaux and his family. I’m curious about the role of the off-duty Border Patrol agent. It’s a complex situation when someone intervenes in a confrontation, especially if they’re carrying a firearm. The details are still muddy, but does anyone know if there’s been any update on what led the agent to fire his weapon? It must be incredibly difficult for all parties involved, but I hope they're able to shed some light on the events leading up to the shooting soon. It’s always especially tough to hear about such incidents when there are no immediate arrests or charges, leaving so many questions unanswered. Sending strength to Colteaux’s loved ones during this painful time.
